Special hinterland tour – Imotski lakes

1The first impression in Imotski is the medieval fortress from the 10th century and the exclusive view on Blue Lake.

Blue Lake is incredibly beautiful; the path leading to the Lake is like no other: amazing!

2The monstrous opening in the enormously high cliff hides the Red Lake, one of the deepest karst lakes in Europe.

There is no way to approach The Red one; it can only be seen from different viewpoints around the cliff.

Up to now, there was no success in determining the bottom of the lake; it is only known that the Red Lake continues to flow into a cave 280 meters below the surface.

3After visiting both lakes, we recommend a real rural lunch – meat and bread prepared in a traditional way.

4After lunch next attraction is 1,5 hours of kayaking which starts near the source of the river Vrljika and goes through unsurpassed green sceneries.

For those who don´t prefer kayaking, there is an option for exploring historical remains and natural beauties.
