Nobody can discover the world for somebody else.
During your stay in Trogir or Dalmatia, it would be a great choice to visit our beautiful neighboring country Bosnia which has a lot to show. This tour offers a blend of history exploring, meeting other cultures, and truly enjoying natural phenomena. Explore Počitelj, a charming village with imposing history and oriental culture located on a steep cliff. There is Mostar, with its stunning bridge, built by the Ottomans in the 16th century. The Old Bridge is one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most visited landmarks. And finally, as usually, what impresses the most is nature. Kravice waterfalls with its 28-meter-high waterfalls leave everyone breathless.
Let us make your day special and find out more…
Important information: Valid passport or EU ID necessary
1Our first stop will be an open-air museum, Počitelj, an ancient town surrounded by walls.
It is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Bosnia due to preserved ensembles within the city walls and the oriental atmosphere.
The village is part of the UNESCO Tentative List for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
2The next location we will explore is Mostar, the city under UNESCO protection.
Mostar is located on the river Neretva and was named after the bridge guards (mostari) who guarded the bridge in the Middle Ages.
The architecture of the place represents a symbol of tolerance and shared life between Muslims and Christians.
With our local guide you will have the chance to visit the old Bazaar which is full of picturesque shops and workshop.
After visiting the Mosque we’ll enjoy a walk along the famous Turkish bridge, the most recognizable sight not only in Mostar but in Bosnia as well.
The Old Bridge is protected by UNESCO and is definitely the most popular sight from Mostar. The original bridge was built by the Turks in the 16th century, but it was destroyed during the war in 1993.
The bridge was rebuilt in 2004 mostly by using the original stones.
Nowadays, the bridge is a symbol of connection between two religiously divided parts of the town, the Christian and the Muslim.
3Our advice is to take a look at the National Monument “Muslibegović House”, which was built about 300 years ago and is considered as one of the most beautiful houses from the Ottoman period in the Balkans. The house is special because it contains an inner garden, divided by men and women side.
In Mostar you can use the opportunity to taste authentic Bosnian specialties like ćevapi, burek, baklava or buy some local souvenirs.
4Finally, we take you to the location with a fairytale scene where you can rest your mind and soul.
The Kravice waterfalls on the river Trebižat, are a small oasis of nature.
Someone once said that the energy that life took, nature returned.
So, you are on the right place to find a unique magical recovery. Go for an easy walk, take amazing photographs and enjoy the spirit of nature.
After this unique sightseeing of two cultures, we head back to Trogir.
